He Will Show You the Path Of Life

In my devotions today I was reading Psalm 16 and it ends with verse 11 that says, You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy, at thy right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

Isn't it wonderful to know that we don't have to wonder or struggle with which direction we should go in our life? If we simply live each day to please God and desire to walk according to His word He WILL show you the path for your life. That path will not be what everyone else's path is nor will it be a path that everyone may agree on. But if it is God's path for your life, it is the RIGHT path. I like that fact that it goes on to say that in your presence is fullness of joy and at His right hand there are pleasures forevermore. That means that while we are following His path and even sometimes waiting on him and His perfect timing, we can find joy in His presence. We can be happy and at peace knowing He is working a plan for our lives. And then on top of that He throws in a little extra, from His right hand come pleasures forevermore. Things, in this life, things that He knows will bring us pleasure as we walk the path He has laid for us. OHHHHHH! It is WONDERMUS! Just to think that our heavenly Father knows what makes me happy. He knows the little things along the way that will bring me pleasure. And great news!He knows the same about you as well.

I would encourage you today if you struggling with God's direction or purpose for your life, to trust Him, draw close to Him, get in His presence and find the joy that comes with being in His perfect will. He will never leave you nor forsake you and He will not lead you astray.

Not long ago 5 of us got on a golf cart and went riding for Tommy to show us the new trails they were making here on the campgrounds. It started off good, but then we came upon a place that you couldn't get through. Tommy thought we could, not a good idea. He was a little ahead of the person making the trail. Don't get ahead of God. Only take the path He has laid for you. It will be clear and distinct. We had much trouble on our trail ride. We laughed but it wasn't really joy, we were just making memories. You can have such peace and joy as you walk the path He has for you. And think of the pleasures you will find along the way. We serve an awesome God and He holds you in the palm of his hand.
