The Snack of Champions

Well, I think Tommy and I have officially had the weirdest snack of our lives. We took some time off today and went to Tallahassee and ate at Olive Garden. I had the soup and salad and one and 1/2 breadsticks. Not too bad. Then we went to see Medart A/G's Easter program. It was very good. I encourage you to go see it if you have a chance. After the program we wanted a little snack for the way home, and so we stopped at a convenience store. What do you think we got? Something healthy, yes, something not so healthy, maybe. When we left the store we looked like two people who were craving from a pregnancy-we had grapefruit juice, pork skins (BBQ & Vinegar & Salt), and bananas. I know it doesn't sound good now, but it was good then. The calories were not too bad. I am gonna try to do as good as I can this weekend with it being Easter, and I will pray for you as well. It is okay to have dessert, but try just a small piece and not 4.

It is a wonderful weekend. I have seen many posts today saying It's Friday, but Sunday is coming. Many people would just think of that in the natural, but we know it has a greater meaning to it than that. Just as He rose on that glorious day from the grave, He will return one day to take us home to be with Him. How often do we get so caught up in the busyness of this life or the struggles we are facing that we forget that this world is not our home and that soon we will be leaving.

Unfortunately, when we forget this and don't live accordingly, we also forget that there are others around us who are not ready to go. Family members, friends, and others we know are not aware that He could come just any day and they would be left behind. They don't know that Hell is just as real as Heaven and they don't have to go there. I pray that during this weekend we will be reminded of the urgency of the hour and be encouraged to not let an opportunity pass us by where we can be a witness for him. So as we enjoy this Friday may we remember that SUNDAY (SOMEDAY) is coming.
