I Have need of Thee

In Matthew 21 the Bible talks about where Jesus sent his disciples to go and find the donkey and her colt that He would ride into Jerusalem. He said if anyone asked them what they were doing to say the Lord hath need of them and to bring them to Him.

I believe He is saying the same thing to us. When the Holy Spirit comes to us and begins to quicken us or put something in our hearts and we ask God what He is doing. I believe He responds to us, the Lord hath need of you. God wants us and needs us to do His work. We are to be his arms and hands extended. We are to be Jesus with skin on.

He is not looking for that one who is most regal, he could have sent them to find a beautiful white steed, but instead He sent them looking for a donkey. He is not looking for the one who is the most talented, or most beautiful, or been saved the longest. He is looking for a humble, obedient vessel. Question is do you qualify? The Lord does have need of you, but are you willing to be used? There is so much to be done for the kingdom and He needs us to get it done.

I think the Lord likes to hear us say that we have need of him as well. Tomorrow is another day, I challenge you to wake up in the morning, yield yourself to God as His vessel for the day, and also tell God you have need of Him to help you in bringing these bodies under subjection. Have a great week.
