A Clean Page

Do you remember when you were in school and you would be working on an assignment and you would mess up? You would wad the piece of paper up that you messed up on and reach for a clean sheet of paper. It was so nice to be able to start again. To have a fresh start and not have to try to keep working on that page that was so messed up or had scribble on it.

It is the same way in our life. There are times when we mess up and we wad up that day or that hour and put it behind us and realize we can be given a clean page to start on. A new day or a new hour to make a fresh start. God does that for us with His forgiveness. He washes our sins away with His blood. He removes our transgressions from us as far as the east is from the west. We don't have to be reminded of them every day when we look at our lives. He forgives and forgets and we need to learn to do the same as much as possible. Put our yesterdays behind us and live fresh and new each day.

The same applies in our life as we are trying to bring this body under subjection. We may not have done so great this weekend, but it is okay, don't torment yourself. It is better for us to accept the fact that we have been given a new, clean page tomorrow to start with. We will strive to do our best. God will help us as we attempt what sometimes seems to be the impossible. But with Him ALL things are possible.

I pray you had a wonderful Easter weekend and enjoyed celebrating the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and spending time with your family. May God richly bless you.
