Think Love

"Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious-the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse" (Philippians 4:8, THE MESSAGE)

It is so imortant to pay attention to what we think about. What kind of thoughts do we have each day? Our thoughts will begin to affect our attitudes. Paul tells us what kind of things to think on. He says we are to think on things that are true, honest, good, pure, lovely, and anything that is positive. We must meditate on these things. Some people say they can't meditate on God's word or on things that are good. It is the same as worry-meditating on something bad. We just change to something positive.

God's word says we must take every thought into captivity and cast down imaginations that are not pleasing to God. We have a choice. You have a choice. We must choose each day what we are going to set our minds to think about. Because our thoughts affect our actions and attitudes. Think about how you start feeling and acting when you think negative thoughts. How do you act when you think positive thoughts?

The challenge today is to monitor what you are thinking about. Bring those thoughts into captivity and allow God to help you each day to change your way of thinking.
