Well, our 45 day challenge is over, but I still want to keep blogging and sharing with you. I was thinking the other day about something my brother, Dennis, used to build. He would take popsicle sticks and make them into old timey cars. I wish I had a picture of them to show you. They were amazing. (I will work on the picture). But the amazing thing was how he made them.
You know as well as I do that popsicle sticks are very stiff and if you try to bend them they will break. THey remind me of us as stiffnecked people who are hardened by sin and refuse to bend. But Dennis would soak the sticks in water and the more they soaked the more pliable they would become. We have to do the same thing. We have to be saturated in the Holy Spirit so that we can be pliable in God's hands. Only when we allow the spirit to soak our lives are we able to bend and He can mold us and make us into what He wants us to be.
It took patience and a steady hand to make those cars and Dennis was so good at it. It also take patience in our lives to see what God is making us into, the things He will accomplish and bring out of us. But rest assured He has a steady hand and the patience to mold us each day. He will hold us delicately in the palm of His hand and we will not break under the pressure, because He will not put more on us than we can bear.
So even though the 45 day challenge is over, I still challenge you today to allow the spirit to saturate your life and make you pliable in the Master's hands. You will be well pleased with the outcome.
