Love's Provision

"The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows, he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength, He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me" (Psalm 23:1-4, NLT)

I love this passage! It describes so many things God does for us.

First, He is a personal God. He is my shepherd. He meets all my needs. We don't have to want for anything. He provides rest for us, water, and food. He gives us strength. He leads us in the paths we should go. Even when we walk through a dark valley, we don't have to be afraid, because He is close beside us. He protects us and comforts us with his rod and staff.

It is in these ways that God reveals His love to us. WOW! What an awesome God we serve. We need to stop and think about all the ways God reveals His love to us each day. For example: He gives us breath to breathe, we can get out of bed and walk to the bathroom, We have the ability to bathe and dress ourselves. We have clothes to wear and food to eat. We have family that is around us and are in good health. We have been blessed with jobs to work and be able to pay our bills. We have friends, church family, and neighbors who are a blessing to our lives. When we have a need God is ALWAYS there.

My challenge to you is to reread this scripture in different versions of the Bible and let it speak to you as a reminder of how much God loves you.
