"Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again: Rejoice!"(Philippians 4:4,NIV)
And He means it!I like how God's word repeats itself here. I will say it again, Rejoice. When do we rejoice? It says always. How? In the Lord. We may not be able to rejoice in our situations or circumstances, but we can find a way to rejoice in the Lord. All it takes is a little effort. When we feel down and out or things aren't going our way, we need to stop and think about the goodness and mercy of God and we can rejoice.
The good news is that we can rejoice even when we don't understand everything that is going on in our lives. As long as we are serving Christ then we can rejoice knowing He is in control. He will keep us and if we find ourselves in a battle we can rejoice because we know He will bring us out.
The problem many time is we don't want to work on finding something to rejoice over. But God commands us in the scripture to rejoice in the Lord and do it always, no matter if we feel like it or not. Because when we start rejoicing in faith, then we can actually feel the joy building up inside of us and we can rejoice with our whole hearts.
The challenge today is to guard what we are thinking about and work on rejoicing in the Lord. Find the relationships or circumstances where we struggle the most to rejoice and work on those things. Rememeber you don't have to understand it all, just trust God to take care of it and REJOICE!
