WOW! This one scripture is filled with so much encouragement for us of our Heavenly Father.
First, it says He is living among us. Isn't that wonderful! He is a God who is with us always, not a god afar off. When we need Him He is already there.
Second, He is a mighty savior. Not just He is a savior, but a mighty savior. No matter what we need saving from. Whether that is ourselves, our past, sin, depression, fear, bondage, no matter what He is a mighty savior and will deliver us.
Then, He will take delight in us with gladness. You know how we were as parents when our children did something and we were so proud, we would just clap and be filled with gladness. We were so delighted in them because they were ours. There have been so many times when we have delighted over watching Aaron do a Kid's crusade or act in a production and when we watched Claresa sing or act our hearts would swell with pride and delight. God does the same thing over us because we are His and when we please Him, He delights in us.And then this one I like. With love He will calm all of our fears. I can see him when we are faced with things that cause us to fear, He takes us in His loving arms and gently caresses us to ease away the fears. He reassures us with His love. He doesn't just say, Get a grip and get over it. He makes sure we feel love and that removes the fear.
But my all time favorite is the part where it says, He will rejoice over us with joyful songs. Did you know God sings over you? Can you see Him singing over you? Remember how we used to sing over our children trying to get them to go to sleep or to calm them down? Or the fun songs we would sing with them? Well, God sings over us as He rejoices over us. I can hear the songs, some days it is a soothing song to help keep us calm, remove fear and doubt. Other days it is a song that has a peppy beat that brings joy and encouragement. What kind of song do you need today? Listen close and you can hear Him singing.
My challenge to you today is to slow down long enough to think about this scripture, write it somewhere you will see it often. Think about the song God must be singing over you today and thank Him for that.
