When we first think of weeping we think of sad things, loss of loved ones, jobs, marriages, empty nest, and much more. And the Bible tells us to weep with those who weep. Share in their grief. Help them to find peace. Sympathize with them. Don't let them carry the weight of their grief alone.
But you know as I was thinking about that scripture I was reminded of the shortest verse in the Bible-Yes, you remember-Jesus Wept. Why did Jesus weep? I believe He wept for 2 reasons. 1) He wept because He had lost a dear friend and He was watching His sisters mourn and was moved by their grief. I am sure you are like me and when you see someone crying on TV it will make you cry too. Don't lie you know you do it. Jesus was moved by their grief and pain, but He also new He was about to raise Him from the dead. So why else was he weeping? 2) I believe He was weeping because of the unbelief of the people around Him. He had showed and told them so much but they still did not believe on Him.

You know the greatest gift we can give those around us for Valentine's Day is the same gift we received when we found Jesus as our personal Savior. The gift of love. God's gift sent to this earth just for us. How can we who possess the gift withhold it from those who have not heard? Jesus weeps for them, we too should weep.
My challenge to you today and to spread the love of Christ this Valentine's day by telling someone about His love for them. It can be in a card, phone call, or letter, but let them know God loves them.
