Day 1-Unfailing Love

In beginning our Love Revealed 45 Day Challenge I encourage each of you to read the day's Scripture point, Thought Point, and Challenge Point carefully and respond as you can. It can be a life changing experience if we all follow through with this challenge. So here we go....

Day 1- Unfailing Love
Scripture Point- "Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the ocean depths. You care for people and animals alike, O Lord. How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings" Psalm 36:5-7 NLT

It is always good to read how other people describe God's love for us, especially David, he was such a great writer, writing from his heart as he spent time in the fields looking at God's creation daily. But how often do we just read how someone else describes things or how they feel about instead of stopping to think how we really would describe it or what it means to us.

So I challenge you today to write down, in your journal or somewhere you can see it, your own psalm. You don't have to be a great writer, but think what it would mean to God to read your heart as you put in writing how you feel about Him.

I remember when my kids were little and they would write me a mother's day note or something sweet. They weren't the most gifted writers but oh what that meant to my heart to read how they felt from their hearts. When Tommy and I were dating, the first card He gave me was signed, "Whith love, Tommy". Yes, he spelled with wrong, but that didn't matter to me. What did matter was that he wrote it himself and he used the word LOVE! Imagine how our heavenly Father feels when we meditate on His love and express to Him how it makes us feel.

I love the song that was written from this psalm. I can't remember the name of it right now, maybe, Your Love O Lord. Anyway I think that is how David would have sang it as well.

Some of what I would say would be:
I am so undeserving of your love, O Lord,
So thankful for your grace.
No Matter where I may find myself,
I can always see your face.
You look at me with loving eyes,
You carry a tender smile.
With open arms you call to me,
Come and sit with me awhile.
Feeling ashamed and so unworthy
I come with head bent low,
But with gentle hands you reach out to me
and tilt my face just so.
As I focus on your face,
My life is flooded by a healing balm,
As in my peripheral vision I see,
My name is written in your palm.
Thank you, Father, for your unfailing love.
I love you, Rese
