Love Celebrates

"Be happy with those who are happy". (Romans 12:15a, NLT)

When we read in Ecclesiastes, Solomon is writing about a time for everything. There is a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance. So, girlfriend, tear out right now in the best dance you can! Get those paper towels wet and wrap around your legs for your gogo boots and let it roll. It's okay nobody is looking and nobody cares.

I think it is so sad that there are so many women who we come into contact with each day who have not laughed in so long. The Bible even says that laughter doeth good like a medicine. We should laugh a little bit every day. We focus so much on the bad in our lives that we forget that we have good mixed in there as well.

WHERE? Is that your question? Can you breathe? Can you see, hear, walk, and talk? That within itself is enough to celebrate. We must rejoice with those who are rejoicing. Be happy even when God blesses someone else. Find something in your life or in the lives of those around you to celebrate.

We made our own national holiday one time to celebrate the fact that Tommy stopped and asked directions, we called it National DAD day (Dad Asked Directions). Look for things to be able to celebrate and be happy about. If you can't find something then you need to really stop and analyze all the blessings God has poured out upon you and your family and then be happy.

You remember the old song, Don't worry, Be happy. We should live by that! Worry doesn't help us, it hinders us. But when we are happy, it is a proven fact that we live longer. So laugh for your health, laugh with a friend, laugh because you can. Maybe the reason our lives are in the mess they are in, is because we never take the time to celebrate the good things in our lives.

So the challenge for you today is to find something in your life to celebrate. Be happy! Find someone to be happy with. Don't just celebrate your happy moment, but share in theirs as well. Laugh, girlfriend, laugh. Have one of those good old, belly laughs. It's okay, when I do it my belly keeps shaking for several seconds. Wear loose clothing and no one will see it. But LAUGH!
